Three types of awards are presented to those in the music education field of radio: The annual producers' contest for radio programs and radio series that convey music education content. The second award, the Lifetime Achievement, for distinguised long-term service to music education through the medium of radio. Five recpients to date. Newest is the Karl Haas Prize for Music Education, given in the name of the late classical radio broadcaster of "Adventures in Good Music." Given to individuals or organizations that carry on the tradition of music education via radio set by Mr. Haas for over 40 years.

The Online Practice Record is a unique, free resource for music students and teachers that allows students to save the amount of daily practice time, the materials practiced, and any questions/goals in weekly practice records. The practice records show the weekly practice time and the average time per day. Practice records may be printed and/or e-mailed to music teachers, and music teachers may enter comments into their students' practice records (with students' approval). Statistics may be viewed that show how a student's practice time compares to other users in the same city, state, and country.
