Columbia College Chicago Offers a High School Summer Institute that includes DJ courses. These classes are restricted to high school students only - even though the students have an opportunity to earn college credit. Introduction to Club DJ is taught by an experienced Club DJ and introduces students to fundamental skills such as selecting music, developing a personality for a live audience, using portable equipment such as turntables, CD players, speakers and microphones, and basic mixing and beat matching.
